据了解，电动汽车领导者特斯拉 (NASDAQ:TSLA)(TSLA.US)公布强劲的业绩报告后，周四其股价大涨近10%，但有一类群体却成了明显的市场输家：那就是大量做空该股的投资者。特斯拉可以说是美股空头规模最大的个股，几乎3%的流通股被做空。
金融分析机构S3 Partners预计，仅周四单日特斯拉股价大涨，该股的空头们按特斯拉市值计价的损失就已经超过10亿美元。S3 Partners的统计数据显示，这使得他们本月的累计亏损达到26.7亿美元。
S3 Partners预测分析业务董事总经理Ihor Dusaniwsky在一份报告中写道:“在业绩发布前，特斯拉的空头们积极削减敞口，在过去30天内抛售了209万股，价值约15.5亿美元。”“然而，由于这种‘巨大而突然的损失’，特斯拉做空者可能会继续被迫挤出他们的头寸。
据悉，特斯拉股价已连续7个交易日实现上涨，周四收涨9.78%，最终收于815.120美元，为5月6日以来的最高水平。

公布优于预期的Q2业绩后，特斯拉股价飙升
不可否认的是，做空特斯拉的投资者们迄今为止已收获强劲的收益，有统计数据显示，他们在2022年获得价值约63.4亿美元的按市值计算利润。
具体原因并不令人感到意外，特斯拉今年正处于困境之中，该公司正在应对供应链问题和原材料成本飙升的问题，加之上半年新冠疫情有卷土重来趋势，导致该公司生产计划一度被迫中断，最终Q2交付量不及预期。此外，特斯拉CEO马斯克收购社交媒体公司推特(TWTR.US)的行动屡次出现意外，这进一步打压了特斯拉投资者的情绪。
