据香港星岛日报网站消息，香港社服机构明爱指出，家庭问题是家庭主妇Dubo的主要成因，七成受助的主妇都是因为不愉快的家庭关系而导致Dubo，而赌本主要来自家用及私己钱。

明爱提供戒赌服务的展晴中心，由2003年至今年8月底，共辅导3600多名赌徒，当中500名为女性，占总数的六分一，其中有超过三成人是家庭主妇，七成主妇赌徒没有收入。
& ]2 R7 `: k6 \" C3 {1 {4 G0 ~+ y0 w# Z/ G5 P' y+ A2 S3 S
中心指，大部分主妇经常参与屋村的雀局，或三五成群上赌船和入DC。逾七成参与Dubo的家庭主妇都无收入，所以赌本多数来自家用和私己钱。+ ?. S4 ]5 S- A# c3 ]2 _) C9 F

中心指出，八成三受辅导的家庭主妇因为Dubo导致情绪不良，过半人失眠。绝大部分家庭主妇因逃避不愉快的家庭关系去Dubo，结果反而令家庭关系更差。" q' z9 z' o( f Q1 q) ^
