12月26日晚上，义乌市公安局稠北派出所协警员傅东辉、张定能等人在工作中获悉：近期常有3个派出所工作人员到下骆宅一带的台球室、副食店、麻将馆里抓赌，他们与其他来抓赌的警员不一样，比较“好商量”，每次都会“手下留情”，只把桌上的钱拿走，从来没有将DB的人带回派出所处理的。26日当天就在下骆宅一副食店内，从一伙以“小牛公”方式DB的赌徒手中“没收”走3000余元赌资。
- d6 Y$ l$ Y) W% B D4 D; \ 这一情况立即引起义乌警方的高度重视，马上展开内查外调，最终判定事有蹊跷，这三个自称是“稠北派出所的”男子很有可能是冒充的，并分析认为再次作案的可能性较大。于是，稠北派出所有针对性的安排人员进行蹲点守候。12月28日晚上7时许，守候警员接到群众举报，称前几天来过的那三个年轻人又出现了，刚刚在下骆宅紫金南路一棋牌室内拿走1100元钱离去。
6 k6 H9 _: f4 Z4 T! t 随后，在附近守候的多组警员迅速从不同方向朝案发现场包抄，很快发现3名嫌疑人的踪影。经目击者指认，3名嫌疑人小平、小兵、小军被警员和群众合力截获。
1 U' F* b9 z, z+ } W1 d 经审查，三人如实供述了自2010年10月份以来，利用休息时间，先后5次采取冒充派出所协警身份抓赌、获利近六千元的犯罪事实。每次搞到手的钱，一般都平分或吃饭花掉，最多一次每人分到1000多元。* u9 i' a4 c, a" b8 L
