MakerDAO目前正在就一项提案进行投票，该提案旨在通过将价值5亿美元的Dai稳定币投资于美国国债和公司债券组合，帮助其度过熊市，并利用未使用的储备。
在一项“信号请求”(Signal Request)的民意调查之后，这个去中心化自治组织(DAO)的成员现在必须决定，是应该将未使用的DAI全部投资短期国债，还是将80%的资产分割为国债，20%的资产分割为公司债券。
MakerDAO是Maker协议的管理机构，发行与美元挂钩的Dai稳定币，可以交换用户存入的以太坊(ETH)、包装比特币(WBTC)和近30种其他加密货币。
这一提议代表着Maker DAO迈出的重要一步，表明其意图超越加密货币领域，并通过其旗舰DAI从传统的“安全”金融投资中赚取收益。
MakerDAO允许参与者通过质押他们的MKR来投票。到目前为止，将Dai分成国债和债券的选择得到了99.3%的票源支持，尽管只有12名成员支持。目前Maker的治理参与度处于2022年的最低水平，共质押了169,196枚MKR代币。
投票将于美国东部时间6月30日中午12点结束，只留下很短的时间让其他成员选择立场、弃权或拒绝选择。
一旦做出选择，欧洲批发借贷公司Monetalis将向MakerDAO提供它想要的金融工具。Monetalis的首席执行官Allan Pedersen在论坛上发布了“信号请求”(Signal Request)，展示了他的公司可以给DAO提供的选项。
该公司的目标是根据联合国的定义向低碳资源效率过渡。
MakerDAO投资如此大量资金的决定是基于几位成员的建议，他们认为部署未使用的资金可以帮助以最小的风险提高协议的底价。
MakerDAO战略金融核心部门的成员Sebastien Derivaux在6月20日的一份可行性评估中指出，尽管涉及的金额似乎相对较高，但对DAO来说，这应该是一个安全的选择。
“在这种情况下，5亿美元的DAI投资预计将保持流动性和低波动性，因此不会给DAI的挂钩汇率和MakerDAO的偿付能力带来重大的风险。”
Derivaux 表示，目前正在投票的两个方案是五个可供讨论的方案中最好的方案。
CoinGecko的数据显示，尽管Maker做出了这一里程碑式的举动，但MKR在过去24小时内下跌了1.6%，报964.71美元。
