目前僅中國的製造業就價值約 3.1 萬億美元，而美國和其他主要經濟體系也經營著數萬億美元的製造業。 具體而言，Hyperledger 和以太坊企業聯盟 (EEA) 目前已經開發了基於私有和公有區塊鏈的系統，允許大型企業在不可被篡改的網路上部署供應鏈。 至於「可擴展性」和「採用」方面，區塊鏈技術仍處於起始階段，公共點對點網絡目前每秒能夠處理大約 10 到 50 筆交易。 如今，借助第二層擴展解決方案和創新的一致性算法，即可解決區塊鏈技術的可擴展性問題，允許開發人員為大型企業創建系統，例如使用分散式協議進行製造。 除了金融產業，製造業仍是新興技術可以瞄準的最大市場。儘管人工智能、物聯網和區塊鏈已經在製造業中有一定程度的採用率，但還沒有充分發揮其潛力。 馬雲表示，倘若區塊鏈可以作為「數據處理的技術、製造業公司的去中心化數據庫」進行大規模採用，那就能在金融領域之外，真正看到去中心化系統被主流採用。 + N* R; V- N& ?: ~+ \
