原來根據數學統計，當牌盒中剩的大牌佔多時，莊家點數若為十二至十六便容易爆牌，賭客平均下來會贏。廿一點投資客以「算牌法」找出大牌多的投資機會。當牌局進行一段後，牌盒中各牌的組合不再是標準牌組，例如十點可能佔了十三分之五而非十三分之四（如果小牌先出）。

Hi-Lo算牌法將十三張牌分為三組。高點牌（Hi）—十、Ｊ、Ｑ、Ｋ及Ａ，中性牌—七、八、九，及低點牌（Lo）—二至六。高點牌之參數為減一（-1），低點牌為加一（+1），中性牌為0。由於一副牌（或多副牌），高低點牌張數相同（各二十張），算牌客自零開始算，看到低點牌加一，高點牌減一。一副或一盒牌自頭算完，應是自零到零。其中可能經歷過算到+10（小牌先出）或-18（大牌先出）。 21點算牌法結論 要在廿一點贏錢，你要三方面配合，首先你要懂基本策略；其次你要懂基本算牌法；第三，你要懂得計算何時應下多少注碼。
